Rebuilding Lives Anew: A Tisha b’Av Experience

Please join us on Sunday, August 7 at 3 pm for our annual Tisha b’Av program at Temple Beth El in South Orange County. As we reflect on the losses Jews have suffered as a persecuted and displaced people many times over, we honor our obligation to help and connect with people who suffer these tragic losses today and are seeking refuge at our borders. Join us for an introspective program to mourn and to heed the call to ‘welcome the stranger.’

About Tisha b’Av is an annual day of remembrance for Jewish people to recall the events that led to the destruction of the First and Second temples in Jerusalem and cast Jews out of their homes to become refugees.  It falls on the 9th day of the month of Av, or tisha b’AvClick here for a list of additional tragic events that fell on Tisha b’Av over the centuries.
