REFUGEE AND ASSYLUM POLICY: Where do things stand today? What lies ahead? What can you do to shape the future? ​

The Orange County Jewish Coalition for Refugees presents a panel discussion with legal and policy experts who will discuss current protocols and future goals for refugee children, asylum seekers on our southern border, and would-be refugees seeking to resettle in the United States from the Muslim world.

Attendees will develop an understanding of the current state of asylum law and refugee programs, as well as gain insights on how to partner with the Orange County Jewish Coalition for Refugees to advocate for the protection of vulnerable refugees and displaced persons.

Panel Members Include:

  • Jose Serrano – Associate Director of Immigration and Outreach for World Relief
  • Joyce Noche – Legal Services Director at Immigrant Defenders
  • Lisa Frydman – Vice President of Kids in Need of Defense
  • Mohammad Tajsar – Senior Staff Attorney at the ACLU of Southern California
  • Julie Marzouk- OCJCR Advisory Council member and former Chapman University immigration law professor, Moderator
